Marina Abramović is remarkable artist who was considered as "the grandmother of performance art" and is still admired for her works, an example of this is her piece 'rhythm 0' which she staged in Naples, Italy.
'Rhyme 0' was performed in 1974. She did this terrifying experiment. At a gallery in her native Belgrade, Serbia, she laid out 72 items on a trestle table and invited the public to use them on her in any way they saw fit. Some of the items were benign; a feather boa, some olive oil, roses. Others were not. "I had a pistol with bullets in it, my dear. I was ready to die." She said.
After That, people started to pick up the tools from the table ..

She stood with a notice board containing the instructions which were simple and clear:
-There are 72 objects on the table that anyone can use them as desired.
-Performance : I am the object
-I will take full responsibility during this period
-Duration: 6 hours from (8 pm- 2 am)
At First Only photographers came near her

Then some Begun to humiliate her

The nearer the experiment came to an end, the worse it got..

"At first it begun tamely, some turned her around, someone trusted her arms up in the air, and some touched her intimately "
Some attached stuff on her body

A man used a razor and started to scratch her face with it

At the Last Two hours It Got worse, one asked her to point a gun on her head, and she was "ready to die" according to her words.

Some ripped off her clothes and molested her sexually

"I felt raped, they cut off my clothes ans stuck rose's thorns on my stomach, aimed a gun to my head and another came apart"
After the experiment was over, no one was able to look at her.
No one was able to confront her, fearing that they would be judged while she walked away, dripping with blood and tears, but alive. "How lucky I am," she says in her still heavy accent, and laughs.
